FOURTH GRADE PLC MINUTES
Feb.18, 2016


MEMBERS PRESENT: Colleen Yates, Elaine Beam, Amy Tucker, Morgan Roby, Stephanie Coslow, Dr. Scheerhorn, Rachel Brussell and Aletha Abell


* COMMON ASSESSMENTS- Reading and Math Common Assessments have been proofed and will be sent to Jaime Russell by Monday, Feb.22nd!

* Program Review- Amy Tucker updated the committee on areas that need evidence. Writing is major focus area for this.  Committee gave suggestions for evidence and next steps!

* LEADER IN ME- Committee is behind so they will be reading up to Chapter 9!

* Stephanie Coslow volunteered to be a Co-Teacher for the 2016-2017 school year.

* Discussed schedules for 2016-2017 and made a Google Doc of students who need to be separated.

* Common Assessments were reviewed for errors and adjustments were made.

* Program Review was discussed and gathered evidence for each demonstrator.

4th Grade PLC Minutes

Members Present: Colleen Yates, Stephanie Coslow, Morgan Roby, Rachel Brussell, Elaine Beam, Aletha Abell, Jessica Scheerhorn and Jeremy Hill

* WIN DATA- Data shows improvement since the pre-test. Teachers are focused on the novice reduction and helping those students succeed!

* COMMON ASSESSMENT- After December Common Assessments, teachers are now giving extended responses once a week to help students grow in this area of need. Next week, teachers will bring their Common Assessments for March 2-3 so the group can look over and discuss any problems.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Colleen Yates, Stephanie Coslow, Amy Tucker, Elaine Beam, Morgan Roby, Rachel Brussell, Jeremy Hill  and Jessica Scheerhorn



* WIN Groups were discussed- Colleen and Morgan have  math, Stephanie and Amy have reading and Elaine has students who are low in both areas.

MAP Data was used to create these WIN groups. Pre-Assessments determine ability groups within the groups. Teacher will post assess every two weeks.

* Student Growth Goals were discussed and data for mid-year review needs to be put in ASAP!
